VETTING OF COST OF PROJECT
A number of clients / banks ask us to vet the cost of projects where the project report has already been prepared due to various reasons.
The important activities we study in this process are as under:
- Cost estimates under various heads already prepared.
- Other documents like BOQ's, Quotations obtained from architects, contractors and suppliers.
- Comparison of costs vis-a-vis other similar projects in the industry including competitor suppliers.
- Discussion with suppliers and contractors on the cost parameters for additional savings.
- Study of external factors that may impact the costs e.g. exchange rate fluctuations, inflation.
- Discussions with the companies technical and financial officials
